Rich and I were watching TV the other night, when we saw a Wendy's commercial... the oddity of which was the fact that in the background was the song Blister in the Sun by the Violent Femmes. Not even the words... just the music playing in the background. Rich and I just looked at eachother and scratched our heads simultaneously (and then wondered if we perhaps might have lice. Just kidding).
What, praytell, is the connection? Now I am calling all of you folk with marketing prowess. Who decided that it was a good idea to put a non-lyrical part of Blister in the Sun on a Wendy's commercial and make no reference to it? I've seen that commercial so many times since, and it is starting to bug me more and more. All responses considered.
I always thought that song was about masterbation. Does anyone else think that they are subconsciously making a reference back to the 'Where's the Beef' campaign or am I overthinking here?

Shelly Belle...I have no comment to make on this What's the Beef story because I have no clue what you're on about my love.
Hazey woo put me onto your blog. You guys are so blogged out - cool. Anyhow, hope Rich and you are damn fine. All well here. Wee man and Big man are doing great. Take care and send me an email with some pics and I'll do likewise.
Julesy
